About me
I am an MAE student studying Economics at Duke University. I graduated from UW in 2025 and received the Outstanding Scholar Award from the Economics department. My areas of interest are Economic Theory in general, Game Theory, Information Theory, and Economics of Crime. Being interested in those areas doesn't guarantee proficient knowledge, and I believe in comparative advantages, so I am looking forward to improving with you along the way.
Teaching style
I am a material-based tutor, which means that lecture notes and other written materials will surpass my opinion when in conflict. This is fairly common as different lecturers have different preferences, and some materials are simplified, for instruction purposes, to a special case, in lieu of more general and complex situations.
Beyond that, I am also patient and friendly. I don't blame people for not knowing things they probably ought to know. No one is perfect. I also forgot about the materials taught as soon as I completed the final exam and left the room. So please send your instruction materials in advance, so I have time to prepare myself and keep up with your pace.
In the end, I am simply curious about economics in all aspects, so I regard my tutoring as an opportunity for mutual improvement. Late physicist Richard Feynman suggested that teaching is the best way to learn, so I will not only explain things to you, but also ask you to explain things to me to make sure you really understand. If you are looking for an answering machine to get HW done, then I probably won't be your optimized option.
